A witch with a wolf in her mind embarks on a grand experiment to comprehend the inexplicable nature of humans: She will raise a boy who lives only in the day, and a girl who lives only in the night. To her surprise, she gains a deeper understanding of herself... and the nature of love.

Based on the fairy tale by Victorian writer George MacDonald, The Day Boy and the Night Girl interweaves dark humor with a sophisticated musical score, exploring archetypal roles and capturing the magic of childhood self-discovery.
