Set amidst the political intrigue, religious conflict, and artistic vibrancy of the late Renaissance, DEATH FOR FIVE VOICES explores the dark harmonies of Carlo Gesualdo, Prince of Venosa — who is remembered both for his unusually complex madrigals and sacred music, as well as the extravagantly vicious double murder of his wife, Maria D‘Avalos, and her lover, Fabrizio Carafa. Through a sophisticated choral score, this intimate and thrilling new musical investigates the source of both sexual and creative passion, and the fine line between madness and genius.

Clarissa is tired of living in the shadow of her flirtatious sister Belinda, the most beautiful woman in 18th Century England. Wits sharpened and scissors in hand, Clarissa sets out to cut Belinda down to size… and find a man of her own! A sparkling and inventive new musical comedy from one of NYC’s brightest up and coming musical theater teams!

“Hilarious… resplendent melodies and sumptuously romantic lyrics engage the ear and heart in equal measure… Ravishing.” – Talkin’ Broadway
