Mary Beth Smith has lived in New York for the past four years pursuing a career in directing.  A few of her past credits include: In Our Own Image: Big Boy Two Scoop by Christopher Heath (Agony Productions), Waking Up With Strangers by Paul David Young (Horse Trade Theater Group), and The Blue Room by David Hare (59e59).  Before coming to New York, Mary Beth specialized in both directing Shakespeare and magic.

Aidan Levy is a graduate of Brown University. He works as a production assistant on “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” writes occasional freelance stories for local papers, and plays the baritone saxophone and clarinet in the Stan Rubin Orchestra.  He joined the Prospect staff in 2008.

Rachel Dart, Summer Intensive Director

Rachel received her BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She has worked with companies such as The 52nd Street Project, aMios, The Culture Project, Emerging Artists Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Oberon Theatre Ensemble, and Prospect Theater Company. She has also directed in various festivals, such as the Estrogenius Festival, the West Village Musical Theatre Festival, and the Manhattan Shakespeare Project’s Emerging Female Voices Playwrights Fest. Rachel is the creator, producer, and director of The Importance of Being Not So Earnest, a series of evenings of new musical comedy songs by emerging writers. She has been a Jonathan Alper Directing Fellow and an SDCF Observer.

Jeremy Gold Kronenberg, Dark Nights Associate

Jeremy Gold Kronenberg holds an MFA in Directing (Musical Theatre Focus) from The University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. At CCM, his production of Side Show was nominated for a Cincinnati Entertainment Award as Outstanding Musical of the 2004-2005 season. NY directing credits include My Life As A Bald Soprano, My Salvation Has A First Name; A Wienermobile Journey, and Hoaxocaust and Disappeared which were both part of Prospect Theater Company’s Dark Nights Series. He holds a BFA in Acting from The Ohio University School of Theatre and did post graduate work at Sarah Lawrence College. Jeremy has served as an assistant director at Prospect Theater Company, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, The MUNY, and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and worked at the Bridewell Theatre in London as an assistant stage manager, as well as conducted youth theatre seminars. Jeremy spent three years as the associate director for Stagecrafters Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio, where he taught and directed students in the second grade through college. Jeremy is a member of the Lincoln Center Director Lab.

Diana Glazer has been a member of Prospect since June 2007.  She is a New York based director, producer, casting director and creative consultant with expertise in new music theater works. Diana is the President of DiStar Productions, a full service theatrical production and management company that recently produced three shows at NYMF 2010 : The Great Unknown, The History of War and Trav’lin.  She worked on the Broadway productions of Chicago, La Cage Aux Folles and Soul of Shaolin and the Asian tours of Aida and Fame.  Diana also works with Ira Weitzman, producing music theater projects at Lincoln Center Theater and recently served as Artistic Coordinator at the Weisslers’ office.  Credits: Directing: The Morning After/The Night Before (Lortel/Fringe 2010), Onward (Prospect Dark Nights 2009), Act IV Cabaret (Weston Playhouse), Birth Day (Hudson Guild), Assassins, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, & How To Wake Up. joined Prospect – as a Producing / Artistic Associate– hours after moving to New York in 2005.  In that season he Assistant Directed The Tutor and wrote/directed 45 Blows as part of New PROSPECTives.   Since then co-conceived and curated Map Quest and Museum Pieces, in additon to stage managing and coordinating other readings and events.  He has also worked with: At Hand Theatre Company, Barrington Stage Company, Cain Park Summer Theater, Clubbed Thumb, The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center,  FringeNYC,  LAVA,  NYSAF,  NYMF,  Polybe + Seats,  Transport Group. Dev is happy to be in her seventh season with Prospect Theater Company, where she curates, directs, and produces the company’s annual musical theater lab. Past labs include Souvenir Stories (2011), Snapshots (2010), and Map Quest (2009). With Prospect, Dev also curated and co-directed the 2011 and 2010 Summer Intensive showcases and produced the Dark Nights Series from 2006-2009. Selected directing credits: Reefer Madness: The Musical (nominated for a New York Innovative Theater Award for Outstanding Production of a Musical) and The House of Blue Leaves with The Gallery Players, Crossing Over with Discover: New Musicals presented by the National Asian Artists Project, A Home Across the Ocean with MTWorks, Romeo & Juliet in Prospect Park with EBE Ensemble, Thucydides at the Samuel French Festival (winner–published February 2010), and Raised By Lesbians at the New York International Fringe Festival. Dev has directed and developed work with Davenport Theatricals, Abingdon Theatre, Luna Stage, and On the Square Productions and serves on the reading committees for the New York Musical Theater Festival, Estrogenius, and the Leah Ryan Fund for Emerging Women Writers.
